Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This policy explains when and how you can get a refund or cancel a PointSnipe plan. It sits alongside our Terms of Service — where the two describe the same thing, the Terms govern.
1. Who you are buying from
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it is the seller of record for your purchase, handles payment processing, applicable VAT and sales taxes, invoices and receipts, and payment disputes, and it processes and issues refunds and credits on our behalf. Your purchase is a transaction with Paddle. This policy is the policy PointSnipe applies to those refunds and cancellations.
2. 14-day money-back guarantee
If you are unhappy with a new paid plan for any reason, request a refund within 14 days of your first payment and we will grant it, no questions asked. This is more generous than the law requires and it is a policy we stand behind. The 14-day window applies to a new Plus or Pro subscription and to a new One Trip pass you have not yet substantially used (see §5).
3. Canceling a subscription
Plus and Pro renew automatically (monthly or yearly) until canceled. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; your plan stays active and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not charge a cancellation fee, and canceling stops future renewals. Because access continues to the end of the paid period, a cancellation on its own is not a refund of that period — use the 14-day guarantee (§2) if you want your money back on a recent charge.
4. Service availability credits
We work to keep every chain's rates fresh, but no monitoring service runs uninterrupted. If we are unable to refresh a chain's rates for more than 24 hours (a "sustained outage"), you may request a service credit equal to the pro-rated portion of your subscription covering the affected days. Where a paid plan covers only the affected chain and the outage is prolonged, we may pause your billing or refund the current period, at our discretion.
Outages are assessed per chain — data for other chains continuing normally does not trigger this remedy, and an outage in one chain is credited only against the portion of your plan attributable to that chain. Credits and refunds are issued through Paddle. This is your sole and exclusive remedy for data unavailability. One Trip passes (a one-time purchase, not a recurring plan) are handled case by case at our discretion rather than by automated pro-rated credit.
5. One Trip passes
A One Trip pass is a one-time purchasethat watches a single trip and expires when that trip's dates pass. The 14-day guarantee (§2) applies while the pass is new and unused. Once your trip's dates have begun or passed, or the pass has delivered alerts, it is considered used and is not automatically refundable — but you are always welcome to write to us and we will look at it fairly.
6. What is not refundable
Pricing and availability move on the hotel's side, outside our control, so we do not refund:
- a missed alert, or an alert that arrived later than you hoped;
- a rate that changed on the hotel's site after an alert was sent;
- a room you could not book, or a trip that did not work out — you always book directly with the hotel, and PointSnipe is never a party to that booking;
- a One Trip pass after its trip has begun or passed (see §5), except at our discretion.
Nothing here limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer, or the rights Paddle grants buyers under its own refund policy.
7. How to request a refund
You have two easy routes, whichever you prefer:
- Through Paddle directly.Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, you can request a refund from the receipt Paddle emailed you: use the "View receipt" or "Manage subscription" link, or contact Paddle Order Support at paddle.net.
- Through us. Email support@pointsnipe.com with the email address you used and, if you have it, your Paddle order or receipt number. We will arrange the refund through Paddle.
Once a refund is approved, Paddle issues it to your original payment method. Card refunds typically take a few business days to appear; other methods may be faster or slower depending on your provider.
8. Complaints
If something is not right, email support@pointsnipe.com and we will respond within 3 business days and work to resolve it. If we cannot resolve a payment or refund complaint to your satisfaction, you can also raise it with Paddle, our Merchant of Record, whose buyer support handles payment and refund disputes under its own terms.
